The current leader of JWRC, Patrik Sandell has been testing in his home country, Sweden, for the next Junior World Rally Championship event in Finland later this month. During the last two days Patrik and his Clio Junior Team Sweden have been doing the test together with Renault Sport from France, in order to try to find a good set-up of the car for the fast Finnish roads.
- I have very good feelings in the car now. Together with Renault Sport, we have made progresses during the test and now I have a car that really should fit the Finnish roads. I´m allready looking forward to the event, says Patrik.
The test went on very well during the two days. Patrik and his codriver, Emil Axelsson, had valueable kilometers in the car. As a confirmation of the test the boys will drive the next Swedish Championship event, but without competition. Than the boys should be prepared to enter the demanding Finnish roads.
Test day 1 finished!
Patrik and Emil have finished their first day of testing in Sweden. They had to quit the test earlier than planned, as the gearbox broked, but that will be fixed during the evening. They made 75 km and tested different settings on the shock-absorbers, springs and wheel angels.
- We have made some progress during the day, but I´m still not satisfied with the set-up. I´m sure that we will fix that tomorrow, says Patrik.
The test will continue tomorrow and if everything is OK, Patrik and Emil will drive zero-car in the next round in the Swedish Championship as confirmation of the test
