It was Sweden on first and second place when Rally Tröndelag, a competition in the Norwegian rally championship, was over. The ruling junior world champion Patrik Sandell won, and on second place came Jocke Nyman.
- A very fun competition! And very good roads. Fast but technical. They reminds about the roads in Rally Finland, with many hidden crests where you can’t miss with even a millimetre to have the right line into next curve, says Patrik Sandell.
- It’s very amazing to go on full over hidden crests, and the thing that Patrik trust me and the notes. You feel like you have some power, laughs Emil Axelsson, Patriks co-driver.
Emil and Patrik were the eight fastest car totally, which means they held a higher tempo than many of the 4 wheel drive cars. And between them and the second placed, Jocke Nyman, the difference was near two minutes.
- Patrik drived really fast. It was hard to beat him. We had some troubles with the car in the beginning and were placed at 7-8th places after 3 SS. But after that we found the flow and started climbing on the results list, says Jocke Nyman.
And he and his co-driver Bosse Holmström climbed. By the last service with 3 stages left they had only two seconds to the second place, seconds that they drove in direct. When they reached goal they were ten seconds ahead from the third place.
Next weekend Jocke Nyman has a chance for revenge on Sandell. It’s final in Supercupen in Östersund, the guys’ hometown. Then we will know if it ends with 1-1 or 2-0 to Sandell.
