Patrik and Emil won in Finland
Today the current JRC Patrik Sandell and Emil Axelsson took their first victory for the year when they won the WC-rally in Finland. 1 minute and 19 seconds was the lead to the second placed car, team mate Kalle Pinomäki.
“It feels absolutely wonderful. We had some great days in our car. It cant feel much better than this” says Patrik Sandell.
“To win in Finland is extra fun. This might be the most prestigious competition of them all. If you win over here, you show that you really know how to drive your car” says the co-driver Emil Axelsson.
Patrik and Emil sends a big thanks to Renault Sport and the team Kruse Promotion, after the victory that is the first in WC-connections for the new Renault Clio R3.
“They have made a great job. They worked really hard since the last contest to get a god car to compete with in Finland. This shows that the car is to be counted with in the future” says Patrik.
This victory sends Patrik and Emil up to the third place in the championship with 19 points. Leading does the two Suzuki drivers P-G Andersson and the Estonian driver Urmo Aava, with 28 respective 24 points.
