Tonight began the Interspeed Rally in Jagodina, Serbia. Around 30 cars started, among them Patrik Sandell and Emil Axelsson, who had been invited to drive the competition in a borrowed Mitsubishi Evo 9.
- The idea was for us to test drive the car this week, but we couldn’t make it. So earlier today we drove around on the streets here, just to get the feeling for the car. It’s a little different with the 4-wheeldrive and that the car is heavier, says Patrik Sandell.
During the afternoon the rally began with a 2 km long audience stage. And even if the car is new for Patrik and Emil, they have adapted fast. After the first SS they are leading with 5,3 seconds before the second placed Draga. Tomorrow Interspeed Rally continues with six fast stages.
